Bar Classics with Lav'a Belle
Classic bar drinks and well-loved aperitif concepts, reinterpreted with the signature note of Lav'a Belle.
Lav'a Belle Sour – our signature

The drink
Our signature, also known as "Esprit de Provence". COSMOPOLITAN's Drink of the Month (November 2022), and a fixture on the menus of many starred restaurants. A wonderful balance of floral lavender notes, gentle herbs of Provence and a light freshness from the lemon. Adjust the sugar and lemon until it tastes exactly the way you like it.
Ingredients
- 6 cl Lav'a Belle
- 3 cl fresh lemon juice
- 1.5 cl sugar syrup
- Half an egg white or vegan egg-white powder as an alternative (optional)
- Ice cubes
Preparation
Shake all the ingredients vigorously, first without ice cubes, then a second time with ice cubes. Strain over fresh ice cubes into a glass. The egg white is optional: with it, the drink turns out creamier and a touch smoother; without it, lighter and fresher.
Lav'a Belle Gin Sour

The drink
A little bolder than the Lav'a Belle Sour, a little softer than a classic gin sour – this drink unites what belongs together. Wonderful as a classic aperitif for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 cl Lav'a Belle
- 4 cl dry gin
- 2 cl fresh lemon juice
- 1 cl sugar syrup
- Ice cubes
- Sprig of thyme or rosemary, or a twist of lemon zest (optional)
Preparation
Shake all the ingredients vigorously with ice cubes, then strain over fresh ice cubes into a glass. Depending on your gin, garnish with botanicals if you like.
Lav'a Belle Gin Tonic

The drink
A gin and tonic with Lav'a Belle – a delicious twist on the classic, universally loved long drink.
Ingredients
- 3 cl Lav'a Belle
- 4 cl dry gin
- 18 cl tonic water (mild or dry, to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Sprig of thyme or rosemary, or a twist of lemon zest (optional)
Preparation
Pour Lav'a Belle and gin over ice cubes in a glass and top up with tonic water. Depending on your gin, garnish with botanicals if you like.
Purple Negroni

The drink
A twist on the legendary Negroni. In our view, this recipe gives you the most balanced result; with red vermouth and Campari you are closer to the original and fuller-bodied, though the floral notes step back a little. Both come highly recommended.
Ingredients
- 3 cl Lav'a Belle
- 3 cl dry gin
- 2 cl dry white vermouth
- 1 cl clear bitter
- Ice cubes
Preparation
Stir all the ingredients over ice in a mixing glass, then strain over fresh ice into a glass. Optionally with red vermouth (fuller-bodied) or semi-dry white vermouth (silkier, sweeter).
Lav'a Belle Mojito

The drink
The beloved summer cocktail with a touch of Lav'a Belle – perfect for hot summer days and nights, on the beach or in the city.
Ingredients
- 3 cl Lav'a Belle
- 4 cl white rum
- 6 cl soda or sparkling mineral water
- 2–3 lime slices
- 2–3 sprigs of mint leaves
- Crushed ice
Preparation
Gently muddle the limes and mint leaves in the glass, then fill the glass with crushed ice and top up with Lav'a Belle, rum and soda water.
Nizza Mule

The drink
Is it still a cocktail, or almost a spritz again? You can serve the Nizza Mule in a highball or a stemmed glass, depending on how you read it. Only the classic metal mug would be a shame – because of the colour.
Ingredients
- 5 cl Lav'a Belle
- 15 cl ginger beer
- 1 cl elderflower syrup
Preparation
Add ice cubes, ginger beer, Lav'a Belle and elderflower syrup to a glass of your choice and give it a gentle stir.
